Phuket Trip III

A totally cold and rainy weather recently! And it's really breezing cold in the office while it's cool elsewhere. Okay. Back to my Phuket post. Today will be the last post where I'll be blogging about Day 3 and no Day 4. Main reason is just because Day 4 has nothing much to blog about; where we're just walking and wandering around the Patong Beach area while waiting for our transport to come in the afternoon. Haha!
So, let's continue with my Phuket Trip Day Three - Day Tour in Phuket: where transportation + english speaking guide and schedule provided by Phuketpickup. Cost us THB1500 per person (RM150).

Started our day by walking to the Patong Beach enjoying the wind while waiting for the others to be ready!
Then back to our hotel and enjoy another American Breakfast which cost us THB200 each (RM20)

The van reached our hotel around 8++ am. After breakfast our first stop: Karon Beach
Notice how strong were the waves and how blue was the sea. Nice blue sky too!
Then, our 2nd stop: Promthep Cape, the most famous sunset viewpoint in Phuket.
Haha! But we reached way too early so there's no sunset to be seen.
Next stop: Big Buddha Phuket, one of the most important and revered landmarks in Phuket.
Over years already and it's still under construction cause most the construction fees were sponsored or donated. So, there's still an amount till it finish.

Wat Chalong. The most important as it is the biggest and most ornate temple in Phuket. Spot our tourguide, Niyom in the bottom middle photo. He's a nice and friendly person.
Then lunch at one of the local coffeeshop. Our cheapest meal in Phuket!
Later on, continuing our trip by hunting souvenirs. The nice tourguide brought us to some places that sells Phuket's delicacies and other cheaper souvenirs.

Spotted this baby elephant. Some of us paid to feed the baby.
Then our night stop, Phuket Indy Market: opens every Thursday and Friday, from 4pm - 10pm. A youngsters hangout place where most of the teens sell their creativity products. Look at the Eeyore! It's handmade and it's way too cute!
Our last stop: Phuket Town.
Just walk around seeing all those old buildings. Like those old town, where most of the shops were all already closed in the night.
Ended our trip with a group photo taken by the tourguide in the van.
Look how spacious the van is to fit all of us in!
Souvenirs me & Fan Su bought!
Spent our dinner back in the hotel. Free cocktail from the hotel! Thanks!
That's all from me now. Few days more to Chinese New Year. I am in the CNY mood already! Haha! Cheers everyone. More updates soon.

Phuket Trip II

Today will be the continuation of my Phuket Trip. Previous post was about day one, today will be day two. A post with a lot of heavy pictures, almost heavy pictures, as I combined them in one picture. If not, this post is going to be way too long. Day two of the trip was basically spending the whole morning till evening doing island hoping, sight seeing, while watching ladyboy show at night. Okay. I'll just let the pictures do the talking. (o^^o)
American Breakfast to start of the day! Cost around THB200 (RM20)
It's pricey I know. (>.<)
And around 8am the van arrived at our hotel to pick us to the Ao Poh Pier. Reached the pier, and headed to our cruiser boat. Oh ya. The whole trip were being planned by the tour I mentioned on previous post, which cost us THB1600 (RM160) which includes transport and lunch. A special rate!

They you are, our cruiser boat. It's a cloudy day that day. We'll at least it's not a rainy nor too sunny day.

So, after the boat started it's way, there is this guy, which I totally forgot his name, introducing the island, and also telling us our whole activity today. Ha!

Then, music was on, people around started to dance in the boat! Lively eh?

.. while us just sitting there, eating langsat, watching the view, feeling the cool breeze and not forgetting to take pictures. (^^)

Views along the way
Our first stop... I totally forgot where's this! Ha!

Then we're divided into group of 2-3 people to get into this canoe.
Okay, our first time canoeing. Excited!

Basically, we're stopping at this island just to view what's inside the cave.
Just some monkeys and the bats. It's very very dark inside the cave. (@@)

Then, later on, we're back to the cruise, then arrived at our 2nd stop..

.. Hong Island. Highlight for this island. It's Bond, James Bond.
Later I'll story you why is it call James Bond. Well, this is actually James Bond no. 2, according to them, or is =) this James Bond no. 1? Ah! Whatever is it, it's still James Bond! =)
Of course not forgetting to take pictures. =)

It's noon already. After the canoeing, we went back to the boat, people start to jump from the boat into the cool sea and starting swimming.
.. while we still continue our picture taking. XD
We then had our Gourmet lunch on the boat.

Our third stop, after lunch. Thanks to my bad memory and I forgot what island is this. So, we stopped there for awhile while we all can swim and relax at there. But the weather seems to not treating us well enough, it started to rained...
.. and rained very heavily when we reached our last top, and the Main Highlight of the day: James Bond Island aka Khao Phing Kan!
Us with the Bond. Notice us wearing the raincoat that cost THB50 (RM5) each.
Okay. Now the story of the James Bond. It was named after the movie of James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. The reason was simple, cause they filmed one of scene movie there! That's why it's called James Bond island. And why there is James Bond no 1 and 2 is just basically the appearance of the rock where one of the diameter increase from bottom to top and vice versa.

Okay. Back to the boat and on our way back to the mainland. In the mean time, they started to entertained us with ladyboy show. (==||)
Fan Su been kissed by one of them. Haha!
Tips throughout the whole trip in the morning: prepare small notes, or even own local notes. Cause they may ask for tips. Reached mainland. Back to hotel, then get ready for tonight's event.

But before that we went to Jungceylon..
.. for Dinner! Samurai Pork Burger! Fan Su long awaits dinner!
.. Then we used tuk-tuk to our main event for the night..

Simon Cabaret Show! We got ourselves a 9.30pm show. This show was about those ladyboys lip syncing, singing and dancing. Just like the movie Burlesque! They are really pretty I tell you. Pretty until I think some of them might be a real girl instead! Ha!

The ticket cost us THB600 (RM60) per person for VIP seat! Got this special rate online at their website. Lucky us.
Love the show very much. Just like the movie Burlesque. But not the pictures with the ladyboys as they ask for tips after the picture. We thought can take for free! Hmph! If we knew earlier we rather choose the prettier ones. Haha!
Back to our hotel junction using tuk-tuk also. Tips on using tuk-tuk: bargain with them the price first before sitting inside the tuk-tuk. That's what the tour person told us first thing when we reached Phuket! Nice!

Our last stop for the day. Nightlife of Patong: Bangla Road.
It's really a total different view comparing the morning and night. A total lively road at night, with a lot bars, bands, and even those ping pong shows. Whoo~

Picture of the boys and a guy which promotes the ping pong shows to the guys! Hehehehe~
Okay. That's should be it for this long post. More updates soon. Ending this post with a picture of me & Fan Su...

Phuket Trip I
Monday, January 14, 2013
Ohai people! This post was totally a back dated ones, where I'll be blogging about my last year's September trip to Phuket. Well, at least there's a post rather than nothing right?
Okay. This maybe not the only post as we (me, Fan Su & friends) went there for a 4 days 3 nights trip. Today I'll be just blogging about our Day One in Phuket.

Something we did before this trip, where most of the others will do too - do research on which, when, where, how to go. For our trip, most of our trips: airport transfers, Island hoping, Phuket Town tour etc. being arranged by Phuketpickup and Tour Company Ltd. One thing I really want to say is that, they really give a very good hospitality and services throughout the whole trip. They are totally in time, never late, and friendly too! And another thing is that, when you're going in a bunch of people, like us, you can consider them too as they give you all a special rate too! Special rate as in much more cheaper than the rate they posted online! Highly recommended.
Our picture in plane. We went there on September, a rainy season in Phuket. We landed in Phuket few hours later than scheduled due to the rainy weather which caused the plane cannot land. (==") So, we ended up landed at Krabi (I think should be Krabi! Hehe!) Hatyai to refuel the plane then heading to Phuket again.
So there we landed in Phuket and reached Patong, where we'll stay for the whole trip. Staying at Patong is a better choice where most of the highlights and nightlife are all in Patong!
Our hotel for the trip. @White Patong Boutique Hotel Highly Recommended by me.
Strategic location (few minutes walk to mall, the nightlife, and beach), people were friendly...
.. rooms were very clean and spacious. And most important of all, the rates are just THB700 (RM70) per night only! A good thing about visiting on low peak season.
After checked in, getting ready, we're heading to Jungceylon (largest shopping mall in Phuket)
Just few minutes walk from our hotel.
First stop in the mall, Lunch! Burger King. I'm not a Burger King lover, but I can tell you I'm in love with their burger! Tremendous delicious I tell you. A lot better than the ones in Malaysia.
Later in the evening, we went to Phuket FantaSea. A must go when you're in Phuket. Is a Nighttime Cultural Theme Park. More info and the rates available in the website.
*ps We got a cheaper rates from the tour. Around THB2000 (RM200) for transport, dinner & show

Group picture
One thing special about this theme park is that each and every corner has different themes with different things for sale.
And a must tried buffet, with different variates of foods. Really alot of foods I tell you.
Just look at their buffet place. Very grand!
Fan Su in action
There's this place inside the theme park too...
.. where there's animals inside. Spot the white tiger!
The highlight of the Theme Park. The show inside the theater which starts on 9pm.
The crowds started to gather there around 8.30pm for the security check, as phones and cameras are not allowed inside the theater. Although they speak Thai, but is a great experience: a good storyline, unique show with a lot of elephants and other animals shows.
That sums up my Phuket Day 1 trip. More post soon. Have a nice day y'all~
